Courtney Duncan wins again at Loket

Courtney Duncan raced her Bike It DRT Kawasaki to her fourth win from five starts so far when she won the first moto of the Czech round of the FIM World WMX Women's Motocross Championship at Loket.

The energy bundle from New Zealand had topped qualification by nearly two seconds in the morning and quickly established her domination in the twenty-minute plus two lap race as she needed just half a lap to move into the lead from a third-placed start. After just three laps she was already more than seven seconds clear of the chasers and eventually won by thirty-six seconds as the extreme heat demanded everything from rider and machine. The victory means she has extended her lead in the world individual championship to seven points and also ensured that Kawasaki has moved into a virtual lead in the manufacturers' classification.

Courtney Duncan: "It was a tough race. The track's really technical and it's hot out there; I guess we could all feel it at the end of the race. I even fell off on the sighting lap, but it taught me to ride smart. Honestly I felt super slow, but I won by thirty-six seconds so it showed what a difficult race it was for everyone."
